Without a doubt, my favorite Systematic Theology.

These are books we highly recommend.
Without a doubt, my favorite Systematic Theology.

One of the most God-exalting definitions of the gospel I've heard.
Also, one of the most exciting!

This was an essay written by one of my favorite theologians, on the subject of mercy. It is thoughtful and convicting.
Though it was written in the 1700's, it addresses many of the social issues we face as Christians with astonishing relevancy. Particularly the section where Edwards answers all the objections Christians come up with to put off alleviating the suffering of others. This essay will rend your heart.

This is a book about living the gospel in 'deed.'
This has been one of the most convicting readings on mercy that I've read (next to Jonathan Edwards Christian Charity). And it fits our mission like a glove.

A lot of people in our culture will not give a second thought to considering any apologetic evidence you offer them, regardless of how convincing it is. The reason is because ALL people look at evidence through their presuppositional lens.
Timothy Keller does an incredible job of getting to the root of the problem, by addressing the worldview that objects to Christianity. The first half of this book is filled with the most common objections to Christianity that people have. He addresses their assumptions about the world before giving truthful answers.
The result of this type of apologetic is astonishing!

As I've sought to help college students with finding answers to difficult questions, I've discovered another obstacle: Many people don't know how to communicate the truth in a way that is graceful, winsome, and relational.
If apologetic books are like being given a fish, then Tactics is like two years of fishing lessons. Every Christian can benefit from this book in everyday conversation.

I cannot emphasize enough the effect that a wide-angle birds-eye view of Church history has had on my life. To see God's hand in the course of history, and humanity's common reactions to Him has given me a greater passion for mission, and a deeper longing to know the King of history.

On both spiritual and practical things, Chambers hits them all hard. It seemed like very sentence had me on my knees.

This book equipped me as no other has to study and interpret the Bible for myself.

By all means, get a hold of Jonthan Edwards writings.
They are difficult (1700's), but they are a jem to mine.

This book has caused me to step back and re-think my own life, and what it means to be the Church in my ordinary 12 hour day. I highly recommend this book.

If you are in college, in your twenties, or are trying to reach one of these, you must get a hold of this book.
It reveals the heart of thousands of outsider's towards Christians, and humbly points out that we missed it somewhere along the lines. It's full of countless objective research, without which you would never believe some of the statements that are made. Read this book and repent. Then get a hold of Total Church and start to think differently about how to reach young people.

Long before Adorn was a young person's gathering, Reality was the college group pastored by Britt Merrick. As young men and women drew closer to Jesus Christ through the explanation of the Scriptures, the gathering eventually became Reality Carpinteria. This book is a series of sermons based on an exposition of Hebrews 11, that has dramatically influenced my life, and the life of our church.

Few books have convicted me enough to put me on my knees in repentant prayer. This is one of them. Mahaney redirects the Christian back to the power and beauty of the Gospel with a clarity and brevity many authors are want to have.
